Daniel Karlsson, Partner
Daniel Karlsson is the founder and Managing Director of Asia Perspective. He has over 10 years of Management Consulting experience, focusing on Supply Chain Management, Procurement as well as Growth Strategy Engagements in Emerging Markets.
He has led numerous restructuring and integration projects, involving several thousand employees, within the Automotive, Cleantech, Medtech, Engineering and Consumer Goods sectors.
Apart from Asia Perspective, Daniel also serves as a board member of the Swedish Chamber of Commerce in China as well as Procuris Solutions.
Before founding Asia Perspective in 2010, Daniel held the position as Managing Director of Applied Value’s Shanghai office, an office which he started in 2005. Before moving to China, Daniel worked as a Management Consultant at Applied Value in Boston and New York.
Before entering the consulting business, Daniel worked for Carnegie Asset Management. Daniel holds an MBA from University of Tampa as well as a BA from University of South Florida.
Anders Nordin, Partner
Anders Nordin has wide-ranging Management experience from Asia, Europe and the Americas.
He specializes in formulating and implementing Strategic Plans for Global Expansion for a variety of industries including Automotive, Machine Tools, Consumer Products and Apparel.
Before joining Asia Perspective, Anders served as President of Thule Asia Pacific (China), General Manager – Global Business for TRX (USA) and as Market Analyst at the Swedish Trade & Investment Council (Asia). His early careers included H&M (Sweden) and Ogilvy & Mather (Thailand).
Anders holds a M.Sc. in Industrial Marketing from Technisches Universität Karlsruhe (Germany) and a B.Sc. in Business & Economics from Uppsala University (Sweden).
Andreas Sigurdsson, Partner
Andreas Sigurdsson is the Managing Director of Asia Perspective’s Yangon office.
Based in Greater China between 2003 and 2012, Andreas has extensive hands-on experience of Market Entry and Expansion engagements from a variety of industries, spanning from ICT, Cleantech, Banking, Retail and Manufacturing.
Before joining Asia Perspective in 2010, Andreas worked within Business Development for Nordea Bank in Shanghai. He is fluent in Mandarin and has an M.Sc in Industrial Engineering & Management as well as an M.Sc in Innovation & Entrepreneurship from Chalmers University of Technology in Sweden. Andreas is since September 2012 stationed in Yangon, Myanmar.
Johan Hackman, Partner
Johan Hackman has worked as a partner to Asia Perspective since 2014 and joined the company management in 2016.
He has been involved in consulting in China since 2004 and has had a steady presence in Asia since 1987 through both academic work and business relations. The majority of his work has been in Greater China gaining him experience in the region. Over the years, he has accumulated extensive expertise within supply chain management, sourcing and operations.
Johan has led projects across a wide variety of industries such as Machine building and technology, FMCG and Retail, Automotive, High-tech and Med-tech. He has supported global leaders in developing best-in-class solutions in projects such as supplier evaluation, benchmarking, operational due diligence, simulation of production sites, inventory management and design of global logistic networks.
In addition to Asia, Johan has a long experience of working in other emerging economies, including Russia and Eastern Europe.
Johan holds an M.Sc. In Economics from Åbo Akademi University in Finland and has also studied at the Chinese University of HK, National Taiwan Normal University, Central Institute of Nationalities Beijing and Pacific Asian Management Institute University of Hawaii.
Sami Lindstrom, Partner
Sami Lindstrom joined Asia Perspective in 2017.
For almost two decades Sami has advised leading industrial actors in the field of mining and metals, and lifting equipment in their various global projects. He has also led numerous high-profile disputes globally, e.g. in China, and conducted demanding internal investigations thus helping companies to successfully shorten the exposure to undesired state of affairs. He has also advised various companies in building more efficient, risk strategy-based global compliance and integrity risk management systems, and to cope with and investigate fraud, anti-trust and corruption allegations, and thus limit the negative impact on core business operations. Stakeholder identification, counterparty due diligence and related risk reporting also falls under Sami’s expertise and his reporting models are currently in use in many companies.
Before joining Asia Perspective Sami was heading global legal affairs and compliance operations at Outotec, acted as senior legal advisor at Outokumpu and Konecranes, and advised international clients in compliance and integrity risk management related assignments in a leading Nordic law firm.
Sami holds a Master degree in Law from the University of Helsinki and has been admitted to the Finnish Bar. He also holds a diploma from the Paris Chamber of Commerce and Industry. Sami is business fluent in English, French and Finnish, and conversational in Swedish.
