Daniel Karlsson | Managing Partner
Daniel Karlsson is the founder and Managing Director of Asia Perspective. He has over 20 years of Management Consulting experience, focusing on Supply Chain Management, Procurement as well as in Growth Strategy Engagements in emerging markets.
Before founding Asia Perspective in 2010, Daniel held the position as Managing Director of Applied Value’s Shanghai office, an office which he started in 2005.
Daniel holds an MBA from the University of Tampa, US, and a BA from the University of South Florida, US. Apart from Asia Perspective, Daniel also serves as a board member of the Swedish Chamber of Commerce in China as well as Procuris Solutions.
Alexander Ocieczek | Partner
Alexander Ocieczek is a lawyer and in charge of AP Group’s legal matters and the business in the Nordics Region as well as it’s venture arm Lotus Ventures. He has been with Asia Perspective since 2015 and is currently based in between Stockholm and Shanghai.
Alexander has extensive experience in supporting clients across all of China and South East Asia, and in a multitude of different engagements ranging from market strategy and business expansion to company restructuring and sourcing efficiency. He has been based in both Shanghai and Yangon, and has spent extensive time restructuring businesses in Indonesia, the Philippines and Vietnam.
Alexander is AP Group’s representative in the Nordics, managing both business development and project management. He is operationally involved both in Asia Perspective projects, as well as in the operations of AP Group’s portfolio companies.
Alexander holds an LL.M in Law from Stockholm University, and a B.Sc in Business and Economics from Stockholm School of Economics.
Sam Li | Partner
Sam Li joined as partner in 2018 and is responsible for all aspects of the firm’s operations in China.
He brings with him over 20 years’ experience leading and advising organizations, and has acquired extensive hands-on experience in market expansion, cross border negotiation and JV formation, corporate strategy, M&A due diligence and operational improvement. Before joining Asia Perspective, Sam held the position of Managing Director for Mideaux Power Technology. He has also held several leadership positions including General Manager of business unit, and Sales and Marketing Director at SKF Group China.
Sam holds an MBA from BI Norwegian Business School, as well as a BS in Mechanical Design, Manufacturing and Automation from East China University of Science and Technology.
Johan Hackman | Partner
A partner since 2014, Johan has led projects across a wide variety of industries such as machine building, FMCG, Retail, Automotive, High-tech and Med-tech.
He has supported global leaders in developing best-in-class solutions in projects such as supplier evaluation, benchmarking, operational due diligence, simulation of production sites, inventory management and design of global logistic networks.
Johan holds an M.Sc. In Economics from Åbo Akademi University in Finland and has also studied at the Chinese University of HK, National Taiwan Normal University, Central Institute of Nationalities Beijing and Pacific Asian Management Institute University of Hawaii.
Bobo Lin | Associate Partner
With more than 15 years of experience working for a European multinational and Chinese Fortune 500 company, Bobo has acquired a wide range of expertise from the various positions she has held, including procurement director, HR and administration manager and project manager.
Apart from overseeing critical roles within the organization, she has also been involved in several mergers and acquisitions from negotiation through to transition.
Having both studied and worked in the UK, Bobo is well versed in the different working practices between Asia and Europe, a skill that has been invaluable in coordinating with teams and facilities across the globe for low-cost country sourcing and supply chain management. This has also proven critical for navigating the challenges faced by foreign companies working within China and even local companies with regards to governmental regulations and relationships.
Bobo holds a master degree in accounting and finance from the University of Manchester and is a member of The Women’s Association, Jiangmen City, and the Hong Kong Zhongshan Youth Association, that actively encourage and promote entrepreneurial activities for women in business.
Sami Lindstrom | Senior Advisor
For almost two decades Sami has advised leading industrial actors in the field of mining and metals, and lifting equipment in their various global projects.
He has supported companies in building more efficient, risk strategy-based global compliance and integrity risk management systems, and to cope with and investigate fraud, anti-trust and corruption allegations, and thus limit the negative impact on core business operations. Stakeholder identification, counterparty due diligence and related risk reporting also falls under Sami’s expertise and his reporting models are currently in use in many companies.
Sami holds a Master degree in Law from the University of Helsinki and has been admitted to the Finnish Bar. He also holds a diploma from the Paris Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
Andreas Sigurdsson | Senior Advisor
Andreas Sigurdsson became one of the first foreign investors in Myanmar in 2012, and has stayed in the country ever since.
He is now the Managing Director of Asia Perspective’s Yangon office. He has extensive hands-on experience in supporting clients with their sourcing and market entry operations in Myanmar. Amongst other industries, he has been instrumental in supporting clients in entering the garment industry in Myanmar, and he also has extensive experience in Cleantech, Banking, Media, Retail and Manufacturing.
Andreas is fluent in Mandarin and has an M.Sc. in Industrial Engineering & Management as well as an M.Sc. in Innovation & Entrepreneurship from Chalmers University of Technology in Sweden.
Jonas Elmnäs | Senior Advisor
Jonas is an experienced Business Developer in the Southeast Asia region, working with cross-border projects for over a decade, supporting companies in market expansion, building brand awareness and new business opportunities.
Part from Jonas being Country Manager for Asia Perspective in Indonesia he also supports global companies in their export strategies and management challenges. He also has vast experience in Automotive and General Industry in the Southeast Asia region and has recently been focusing on clean air and energy saving solutions within the HVAC business area in the region, with an extra focus on Indonesia.
Jonas holds a BA from Sales & Marketing University and a Pedagogical Degree from Gothenburg University, he has also some Logistics, IT and Media studies.
Niklas Ruud | Senior Advisor
Niklas has over 15 years track record of business expansions in the Asian regions. He has a comprehensive international P&L management experience and has supported global companies with M&A search and post M&A integrations for over a decade in both Asia and Europe.
Niklas specializes in driving market share, revenue and profit growth and has a great track record for doing so from both small to large size corporations. He has held management positions for companies such as CRH China, Konecranes and Cowin Global Holding.
Niklas holds a B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering from Linköping University in Sweden as well as an Executive MBA from Hult University in Boston, USA. He is fluent in English, Swedish and Chinese.
Vincent Chang | Senior Advisor
Based in San Francisco, Vincent joined Asia Perspective in 2019 with the charter to lead business activities in North and South America.
He has a multi-cultural background and broad international business experience in medical technology and specialty chemical markets. Vincent specializes in formulating market entry & growth strategies, leading business development initiatives, managing operations and building new businesses, teams, and channel networks. He has held management positions in Mexico, Germany, Malaysia and China for companies such as Baxter Healthcare, B.Braun Medical, Dow Corning and Momentive
Vincent earned his Bs. and Ms. Sc. Industrial Engineering from Purdue University and M.B.A. from Pepperdine University. He is fluent in English, Spanish, Chinese and German.
